When opening a MacBook Pro Retina screenshot (cmd+shift +3 or cmd+shift+4) in Photoshop, make sure to resize your image’s width back down by half under Image > Image size in order to get the proper screen resolution. Otherwise you’ll end up with an unnecessarily large image and file.
